Keith Baker, Owner and Principal Designer

Born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Keith Baker has been designing locally, and internationally, for over 30 years. He has a solid foundation of practical building experience and a creative background as a professional musician, both of which inform his design work.

Also a fine woodworker, Keith trained as a joiner and cabinetmaker, where his attention to detail and uncompromising focus on quality were fully born. His eye for design and his strong sense of how a home should be built allow for the perfect marriage of creativity and practical sensibility, apparent in all his designs.

About his work Keith says “ I believe home design should strive for authenticity. For me, that means creating a home that both fits the site and provides a vibrant, light-filled and harmonious place to live. Often people get caught up in where the walls should go; I focus on where the space should be.”

Keith’s warm and engaging approach to his client relationships ensures that they are always an integral part of the process of designing their home. By careful listening, clear communication and asking key questions, Keith is able to understand his clients’ needs and help them to create the home of their dreams.
